I love it when a grammatical error, spelling mistake, or malapropism actually create a new word, concept, or deeper level of meaning. Take this sign in Florida, which is supposed to be advertising lawn mower repairs. I'm not really certain what a "LawOwer" is but it seems plausible. I wonder if this person is doing much business ...
Our contributor, Paige from Gainesville FL, says:
"The other side of the sign (which I wasn't able to photograph) is spelled the same
way, but the sign maker tried to insert an N after the fact. Still no sign of
the missing M."
Badly need your help. To achieve great things we must live as though we were never going to die.
I am from Comoros and also now teach English, tell me right I wrote the following sentence: "Worries over a shortfall in crucial monsoon rains, pricey stocks and mixed asian markets kept investor confidence in check."
Regards :o Jeremy.
